*Alert banner functionality
Alert banner functionality was added to the website to allow analysts to flag reports that are of critical importance. Using this functionality will add a banner to the associated geography for all Affected Regions selected in the report metadata. This work was completed under the following tickets:
Alerts - Add fields to flag a report as an Alert (FNW-2023)
Style - Alert banner for country/region pages (FNW-2026)
*View block to display Alerts (FNW-2029)
A new View was added for Analysts to see which geographic regions have Alert banners.
Email notifications to the Hub Web and Comms team when Alerts are published (FNW-2031)
Email notifications were enabled for the Hub team to monitor when Alert reports are published, as well as when Alerts banners are set within the metadata of a published report.
Make monitoring status optional on region taxonomy (FNW-2054)
In order to make Alerts work on all geographies, we removed the monitoring status requirement from taxonomy pages. This allows pages like Gaza and Ukraine to receive the Alert banner.
Remove "alert status" from region taxonomy terms (FNW-2020)
An outdated, migrated field on the taxonomy pages called “Alert Status” was removed as it was not used and had no functionality on the current website.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) performance
Prevent googlebot from crawling search CTA links (FNW-1983)
To further improve SEO performance of the website, adjustments were made to prevent google from crawling search links.
*Add SEO descriptions for two new reports (FNW-2047)
