The following work for the FEWS NET website is included in the Sprint 69 release.

Note: Items marked with an asterisk ( * ) affect the user interface for creating and editing reports in the CMS. A video walkthrough of changes relevant to report posters is available at the bottom of this page.

Reports

*Report saving error - adjustments to “save and edit” in report nodes (FNW-1994)

Adjustments were made to the report saving functionality of the website, including adding the following functionality:

• Autosaving a report every 30 seconds.

• Saving report content in a draft form, even if the report has not been officially saved using “save and edit” or “save and preview.” 

• Notifying users if another user is editing the same report. 

Note that this does not replace the need to save and edit, or save and preview a report. It is just additional functionality to reduce the chance of error. 

*Add enhancements to paragraph widget for reports (FNW-2011)

Along with the changes to report saving, additional functionality was added to the report content form, including the following:

• Adding content before or after any existing content section.

• Splitting paragraphs of existing content. 

• Requesting confirmation when a section of content is deleted.

*Add paragraph sets module to reports for Annex (FNW-2024)

Introduced a new Paragraph Sets module to enhance report customization. Users can now include repeated pieces of content, such as explanations or annexes, into reports via a paragraph selection interface. Designed for flexibility, this feature enables consistent and efficient content inclusion across multiple reports.

Important Note:

The module functionality has been implemented, but the content for paragraph sets is still under development and not finalized for production use.

*Display image figure number in the paragraph admin view of reports (FNW-1939)

Users can now see the figure numbers in the admin screen of the content tab for reports.

Apostrophe showing as &#039: in automated citation (FNW-1443)

A fix was made for special characters in automated citations. 

Mailchimp

Template adjustments for Mailchimp automated emails (FNW-1984)

Brand updates were incorporated into the Mailchimp automated emails.

Refine Mailchimp interest ID error message (FNW-2005)

An error message was refined to clearly identify log messages related to Mailchimp.
