February 13, 2024 Release Notes

The following tasks and features are included in this additional release completed for Sprint 45.

Note: Items marked with an asterisk ( * ) affect the user interface for creating and editing reports in the CMS.

Drupal 10

This release was focused on upgrading the FEWS NET website from Drupal 9 (D9) to Drupal 10 (D10). D10 incorporates various security improvements, including the elimination of outdated code and the introduction of additional security features. These measures aim to diminish the potential points of vulnerability, thereby enhancing the overall security of the platform. D10 has also been optimized for speed and scalability.

Report Editor Experience

*Default figure label to “off” for data visualizations (FNW-1454)

At the request of the Early Warning Team, the figure label for data visualizations is now off by default.

Navigation Updates

Relocate Ukraine Crisis page (FNW-1504)

At the request of USAID, moved the Ukraine page from under “Special Topics” over to “Countries and Regions > Global.”
