Labels

Labels are used to match information from the Baseline Storage Sheets to metadata in the database.

Wealth Characteristic Labels

Wealth Characteristic labels are pulled from Column A of the 'WB' worksheet in a BSS. They are used by the WealthCharacteristicValue ingestion pipeline to determine the attributes for a given row in a BSS.

Wealth Characteristic Labels contain the following fields:

  • Wealth Characteristic Label: This field contains an item from Column A of the WB worksheet in a BSS.

  • Status: There are three status options:

    • Complete: The label has been associated with a Wealth Characteristic and can be ingested.

    • Under discussion: Discussion or investigation is needed to determine if this can be ingested or if it needs a correction. It may need a new Wealth Characteristic or it may be unclear what the associated Wealth Characteristic should be.

    • Correct the BSS: Discussion or investigation has led to the conclusion that a correction is needed.

  • Wealth Characteristic: The Wealth Characteristic that corresponds with this label, if applicable.

  • Product: The product associated with this Wealth Characteristic Label, if applicable.

  • Unit of Measure: The unit measure associated with this Wealth Characteristic Label, if applicable.

  • Notes: Any notes explaining the status or choice of associated Wealth Characteristic should be entered here.

Activity Labels

Activity labels are pulled from Column A of the 'Data', 'Data2' or 'Data3' worksheets in a BSS. They are used for the LivelihoodStrategy and LivelihoodActivity the data ingestion pipelines to determine the attributes for the LivelihoodStrategy and/or LivelihoodActivity for a given row in a BSS.

Activity Label fields include:

  • Activity Label: This field contains an item from Column A of the 'Data', 'Data2' or 'Data3' worksheets in a BSS.

  • Activity Type: The location in the BSS of the Livelihood Activity that corresponds to this label. This could be a general Livelihood Activity in the ‘Data’ worksheet, an Other Cash Income activity from the 'Data2' worksheet, or a Wild Foods, Fishing, or Hunting activity from the 'Data3' worksheet.

  • Is Start?: Select the checkbox to indicate if this Activity Label marks the start of a new Livelihood Strategy section in the BSS. In the BSS these cells often have a light green background. For example Sorghum Deyr: kg produced or any other crop name followed by kg produced indicates the start of a new Activity.
