The following list of updates and bug fixes are included in the latest Sprint 25.11 release to the FEWS NET Data Platform.

Updates

Clone Dashboard action in Dashboard admin screens (DATA-4362)

Dashboards and dashboard visualizations can now be cloned in the FDW admin screens to efficiently produce variations for different audiences and permissions.

Data Collection asset functionality

This release includes the following updates to the handling of Data Collection assets in FDW and through the API:

Data Collection assets can be assigned a Usage Policy that is different from the Usage Policy of the Data Source Document. For example, this can be used when a Data Source Document is Public, but one or more of the assets should have restricted access (DATA-4712).
When on a Change Data Collection screen, you can view more details about the Data Collection’s assets, change the file format or Usage Policy, and open the Change Data Collection asset screen (DATA-4779).
The API can retrieve Data Collection assets by datacollection_name, datacollection_date datasourceorganization_name, datasourceorganization_aliases and datasourcedocument_name, datasourcedocument_aliases (DATA-4725).

Allow Semi-Structured Data Points with subsets of metadata (DATA-4815)

FDW has improved support for loading semi-structured Data Points, including improved matching to existing Data Series when upload files have varying amounts of metadata.

FDE updates

This release includes the following updates to the Data Explorer:

A new home page provides a dynamic Data Point count and links to help resources and release blogs (DATA-4769).
The Explore data topic page headers were updated to reflect the new breadcrumb trail and update the location of the tooltip pointing to the Knowledge Base (DATA-4776).
The sign-in screen was updated with links to the privacy policy and data use policy (DATA-4807).
Advanced parameters, including the option to display HFA data, are included as options for the AFIC data visualization builder (DATA-4860).

Bugs

Fix is_staple_food import bug when importing Market Products (DATA-4809)

The is_staple _food status was incorrectly imported into FDW when importing market products, setting the field to false when a true value was listed in the import file. The is_staple _food field now imports correctly.

Include FNID in all Data Point extracts (DATA-4932)

FNIDs were not included in all Data Point extracts from the API, preventing users from matching tabular data to Geographic Unit extracts. FNIDs are now consistently included in Data Point extracts.

FDE bugs

This release includes the following bug fixes for FDE:

The Remote Sensing Map builder was not showing the preview of the visualization after selecting parameters and generating the URL. The visualization now displays as expected (DATA-4274).
The Explore data topic selection was not clearing as expected when moving between the Data Explorer’s sections. Now, no selections are retained when returning to the Explore data section (DATA-4851)
The Humanitarian Food Assistance topic page was not displaying recent data, and the Start and End date filter was not functioning properly. The most recent data is now displayed and the Start and End date filter works as expected (DATA-4853).
