Removing Duplicate Products

  1. Ensure that the ClassifiedProduct sheet in the Reference Data spreadsheet is correct, including correct aliases and no duplications of aliases or codes.

  2. Confirm that all references to the product to be deleted are corrected in the relevant BSS Metadata sheets.

  3. Go to the database admin screen and select Livelihood Strategy.

  4. Search for the livelihood product to be removed.

  5. Select those items you are interested in deleting. There may be product codes with additional digits or suffixes you wish to retain that got called up in your search. Make sure those are not selected. 

  6. Take note of the livelihood zone and reference years involved as you will need to rerun livelihood_activity_instances to re-upload their data with the correct code references. 

  7. In the Action field, select Delete selected Livelihood Strategies.

  8. Click Go. Review your selections and click Yes, I'm sure.

  9. Go to Products. 

  10. Search for the product code to be removed.

  11. Select the correct code to be removed. 

  12. In the Action field, select Delete selected product.

  13. Click Go. Review your selections and click Yes, I'm sure.

  14. From the pipeline, run theupdate_metadata job. 

  15. From Assets select Livelihood activity instances.

  16. Click Lineage > Upstream > All > Materialize all.

  17. Select the partitions to materialize. These are the livelihood strategies you deleted in the earlier steps. Do not select backfill. Confirm that the number of items listed in the Launch run button matches the number of livelihood zones you had deleted, then click Launch run.
