Removing Duplicate Products

  1. Ensure that the ClassifiedProduct sheet in the Reference Data spreadsheet is correct, including correct aliases and no duplications of aliases, names, or codes.

  2. Confirm that all references to the product to be deleted are corrected in the relevant Reference Data (and BSS Metadata) sheets.

  3. Go to the database admin screen go to Products.

  4. Search for the product code to be removed.

  5. In the Action field, select Delete selected Product.

  6. Click Go. Review your selections and click Yes, I'm sure.

    1. If there are dependencies for this product, you will receive a list of those dependencies that need to be deleted (changed to another product) before the product is deleted. Once these dependencies are fixed, go back to step 3.

  7. From the pipeline, run theupdate_metadata job. 

  8. From Assets select imported_baseline.

  9. Click Lineage > Upstream > All > Materialize all.

  10. Select the partitions to materialize. These are the livelihood strategies you deleted in the earlier steps. Do not select backfill. Confirm that the number of items listed in the Launch run button matches the number of livelihood zones you had deleted, then click Launch run.
