August 2025: Back Online and Ready to Explore
The FEWS NET Data Explorer (FDE) is up and running following a temporary pause in operations earlier this year. Welcome back! Our latest release to the platform includes a new look for the customize and export options. Now you can always access the API link as you select and customize your data, and see the link update automatically to reflect your choices. We’ve also added the ability to map border points and markets in the Spatial Domain.
Plus, you can browse a growing number of country data books in the FDE Knowledge Base to learn more about the country context surrounding our data and data collection methodologies.
Global updates
Redesigned customize and export options
We’ve made a few changes to the Visualize and Export section of the domain pages to make the options easier to find and use.
The Customize menu has moved to the left side of the visualizations for domains with conversion and aggregation options.
The download options have moved next to the API link. The download button and API link also remain visible while scrolling the domain pages. To learn more about the full range of the API’s functionality, check out our documentation.

Both the prepared download and the API link dynamically update based on your data selections and customizations.
