Background graphics
Underpinning FEWS NET is a subtle graphic that conveys the organization as a whole and the world it works in. This is a low-contrast, watermark-like background graphic element to be used as follows:
On a white page: #F2F3F3
On a global green page: #0E593A
On a USAID black page: #1A1F1A
Text, logos, and other elements may be placed on top, as long as they maintain proper contrast ratio (see Color Safety and Recommended Combinations) and don’t create distracting tangents. Do not remove pieces, stretch or skew, or otherwise change the graphic.
This watermark image is built into document and slide templates. There is also an .eps version.
Elbow
The elbow graphic is diagrammatic in nature and is a reminder of FEWS NET’s proficiency in data. The elbow element highlights headers and important content.

Arrow
The arrow is used to adorn a text box, point to content, aid data visualizations, and as a UI element in the digital space. It uses the same angle as the elbow.
