Text Emphasis

FEWS NET uses bold and semibold font weights for emphasis. Both bold and semibold may be used for titles, headings and subheadings that are written in Segoe UI or Open Sans. Do not use bold or semibold for titles written in Georgia.

Use bold sparingly for emphasis in regular text. Do not use semibold, underlines, italics, or capitalization for emphasis.

Technical writing for FEWS NET documentation writes the names of specific UI elements in bold (e.g., File menu).
